Mac is a terrific host. He was very quick to reply to my many questions and very accommodating to my choice of campsite. Coulterville was a very cool little town frozen in time. It was a bit off the beaten path but the road (Hwy 49) to and from Mariposa along Hwy 140 was only 50 minutes and spectacular. I liked the location of the campsite esp. the proximity of the gas stations and grocery store. The site itself at first seemed like it has a lot going on with cabins, campsites, permanent residents etc. all sharing the same space but It really worked. Our campsite was large, flat, and came with a table and fire pit. I noticed that some of the campsites even had a grill for BBQing. There was plenty of hot water for showering and washing dishes and the pressure was excellent. Mac came to greet us the first night and came by to chat the next day too which was was a nice gesture. My favorite part were the roaming deer and friendly cats that would come for a short visit.

I can’t say enough about how great our stay was! This campground has everything you’ll need and is very ideally located to Yosemite. It says it’s farther than it really is. Usually took us ~35 minutes to make it in the park. Outside of these, Mac was an amazing host. Such a peaceful and enjoyable time. Cannot wait to return.
