The place is very peaceful and private, staff is extremely nice, helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the house needs some maintenance and a good refresh in order to get back in its best shape…it’s quite worn out and the beds upstairs are rather uncomfortable. The internet connection went off after a few days, we had to connect to the one of the other villa but it was not the fastest solution. The pool shower was out of order.. Just something we hadn’t realized: all areas of the villa are separate. You have 3 different blocks: kitchen/living room and one bedroom on the ground floor, but they’re not communicating. From the pool you then have an external staircase leading to the 2nd floor where you have other 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The villa is in a remote part of town, with a little restaurant nearby, other than that you absolutely need a scooter or a car to explore the area, which is beautiful. We discovered very nice beaches and loved the little city of Thap Sakae.

If you are looking to TRULY get away from it all, and experience simple Thai life, then this is the place. We haven't slept so well in a long time! Great house, within short drive of small convenience stores and 30 min of bigger shops. There is a loss of star because there was a small hiccup at check in where the wrong villa was initially prepared compared to what we booked. Nevertheless, it was rectified in minutes! Also, perhaps because of breaks in rental over the COVID period, we had issues of unclear water from the kitchen tap and one upstairs tap. But all others were fine. We were kindly provided bottled water and bought extra for minimal price for cooking and brushing our teeth. Otherwise it was just fine for bathing and washing dishes. We didn't send out our laundry and brought our own soap powder to wash "small things" ;-), so can't comment on laundry service. We wish the pool lights and water feature worked, but this was minor as the pool was lovely, as was the staff!
