Perfect location in regards to Rushmore, Keystone, and Custer State Park! The cabin was easy enough to find and get into, even late at night! Very clean! Mattresses were all very comfortable and suited our family of 5. The outdoor area was a bit deceiving but may have been just pictures given. We didn't realize there would be neighbors to share a part of it with, but overall private. Our 2 dogs loved it too 😊

We booked Matt’s property for about a week so we could take our dogs to the hills. We’ve stayed at multiple airbnbs in the hills over the years. I messaged Matt before booking to ensure that the property is completely private, as a previous review stated they did not like the other cabin on the property so close. Matt responded and told me not to worry, the other cabin was at least “50 yards away” but spread “over 2 acres of land”. This was not the case and completely false advertising to get bookings. The other cabin was FACING our cabin, and easily ~6 yards away (about 20, 25 ft.). Being this close was difficult as any sound our dogs heard from the other cabin, they reacted to. There is also a dog that comes and goes (and poops) on the property frequently from a nearby house, and very loud chickens in the backyard. When we voiced our concerns to Matt on arrival, he did not even reply. Overall, cabin was cute - no shower - but we will be staying elsewhere next time.

The location is quiet and close to Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Hill City, Custer and so much more. This is a perfect getaway from busy lifestyles. Two cabins share this property so next time we would try to book both with more of our family. Cabins are new and the grill was amazing and the flat driveway/yard was fun for tossing around the balls! We can’t wait to go back next summer!

We loved our stay at the bunk house. It was a perfect "home base" for our family (2 adults/3 kids) as we explored the surrounding area and attractions. We were especially impressed with the quality of the furnishings of the space. Would definitely stay at again!

Place was clean and able to fit 4 people comfortably. (Not sure 6 would work well, as the place is very small and has only 1 bathroom with 1 toilet). Adequate parking for 2-3 cars. Was easy to checkin. Matt was very communicative and supplied clear instructions. Was not a great start—no hot water the first night (breaker was off…???), fridge wasn’t running (again…breaker…had to turn fully off and on), and propane gas ran out as we tried to grill outside (and the adjoining home’s propane was also out…leading us to makeshift cook our food in the electric griddle). Shower has no working showerhead, only a wand. Overall was a good option because of the location and quiet if you want to really escape the crowds. Customer experience needs tightening up as you can see from our experience. Hope Matt works out all the kinks.
