Incredible home that oozes love and care with every touch. By far my greatest Airbnb experience yet - this is what Airbnb has always wanted to be and only rarely ever gets right, but Jen and Ono have discovered the magic and crafted the perfect home and experience. Jen and Ono were amazing hosts and curated everything the beautiful island of Naoshima has to offer into an easy and accessible guide to discover. From the restaurants to go to, and art to see, to the miscellaneous essentials you forgot you needed (in my case, literally forgot and lost on the train!) - they’re your sherpas who’ll make it all easy and delightful. Some places are more than the collection of materials that make them and love bleeds from the in-between and into your heart. Yado is that. Naoshima is such a special place and I’m honoured to have experienced it in such a special home and met such a fantastic couple. Thank you thank you thank you

Jen & Ono are simply outstanding hosts. The made everything (and I mean everything) easy for us in a land where language is just one of the barriers to visitors. Whether by design or accident, our hosts met us at the house when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. (The house is old and several things are a tad tricky.) Jen made dinner reservations for us at nearby restaurants where English was not spoken. Staying in this house gives one the feeling of living in an older Japan, with modern amenities. There is a nicely stocked kitchen (they had bought some groceries for us!) with coffee-maker and everything one needs to cook. The deck was so appealing we spent nearly all of our time at the house on the deck. We could walk to several restaurants which served excellent meals. The local bus stop and a handy 7/11 are less than 5 minutes walk away. After an intense week in Tokyo, we completely unwound here and enjoyed all of the museums and other sights.

Wonderful stay on Naoshima, Jen and Ono’s place was beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. They were kind, attentive and very easy to communicate with. Would be very glad to visit again

If you want a very, very special stop that connects you to art, culture, history, genuine hospitality and a beautiful corner of Japan, then you absolutely must stay at YADO house! Jen and Ono were amazing hosts, helping with many, many itinerary and planning details in the lead up, and then creating a magical stay for our family of 5 with an in-person house tour, thoughtful breakfast supplies and full use of their beautiful, artsy home. Located perfectly for exploring all of Naoshima, we loved the break from hotels and the change to ‘island pace’. We’ll remember this stay forever - thank you Ono and Jen!
