Unfortunately, this place no longer matches the description. It is in severe need of general maintenance. Even for the price, this place was very poor: Door was faulty and a nightmare to lock. Poor security in general as the windows and doors are very flimsy. We were not able to lock the door from the inside. The cafe advertised looks to be permanently closed and the nearest place to eat is a 6 minute scooter away - not a massive issue but it is worth noting that there are no walkable cafes/ eateries. The room smelled awful. Very thick, damp scent that catches the throat. Sheets were stained. Dusty floor and surfaces. Bugs coming in through the poor seal on the windows and door. The owner was not helpful. Took ages to respond to the two enquiries we sent and did not bother to tell us when they couldn’t get us a taxi after saying they would try. At night, the neighbouring house was having a party, blaring music/karaoke in the street until 2300. Checked out after one night.

Kavarna Residence is very quiet and peaceful place to stay, but hard to get to place without own or rented transport. Host and his brother was very friendly, proactive and kind with us. They helped us to find transport and with transfer to ferry when we go back at home. Unfortunately the cafe near us was closed on holiday. Host was in touch all time, we are very grateful for great new year holiday!
