This apartment is in a great location and beds are clean but the towels provided were old and small and still a bit damp. The bathroom floor mat was really damp on arrival and there’s a strong smell of damp in the bathroom suggesting a problem that needs resolving. There may be a leak or rotten floorboards. The bathroom shower screen was dirty and there was damp washing on a clothes horse in the kitchen. The host requested extra payment for damage we didn’t cause and looking back on reviews this seems to have happened before. I refused and referred it to airbnb.co.uk.

Elena’s apartment was perfect for our visit with our 3 small kids. There was plenty of space and the location was amazing- just steps from the royal mile. We were able to pop in and out easily to check out the greats shopping, restaurants and Fringe Festival performers. I would highly recommend this spot.
