A worthy trip made possible by accurate listing and proactive helpfulness by host. Although the place is managed by locals, it is definitely well managed by Shanu. The local caretakers were very friendly and cooked delicious local cuisines on demand for us. Breakfast was included in booking but still got charged, some room for communication and clarity there. Overall, a must visit and good recommendations for people seeking a time out with nature. Advised to reach by own car.
Amazing place. Looks exactly as shown in pics. Hemraj ji, Chaman ji (actual property owners) hosted really well. I will definitely consider for future visit to Jibhi. However, there are few key points to keep in mind while considering this property: 1. Property is in Tandi village and not in Jibhi exactly, which is 5-10km from Jibhi. But it had much better view than Jibhi so definitely a better place to stay. 2. Last 5km road to Tandi property is quite worn out and dangerous. Please keep in mind for the bumpy ride elderly folks. 3. Heater is chargeable. 4. Kitchen area is shared (not within the cottage). However Chaman ji is an excellent cook and the food rate is quite reasonable so no need to bring in any food reinforcements. 5. Lately a lot of cottages and tree houses are constructed in neighbourhood so it doesn't give that exclusive look as shown in some of the images. However, there are no obstructions in hills / scenic views from cottages so no worries.
The place was exactly as shown in the pictures.amazing view..one of the best places visited.. Hemraj ji was very helpful and friendly, was taking care like family..food was great.. Airbnb is all about "belong anywhere" and we felt it.. Thanks Hemraj ji for being so nice human being.
We had a great time in Tilbi! It‘s off the beaten track and takes a while to drive there but it‘s definitely worthwhile! Hemraj (your host) was super helpful with everything, cooks great food and joined us on a hike. Thank you! Would recommend! No kitchen facilities in the house. Heater to be paid separately.
★Tandi is a remote village above Jibhi, a 8 kilometer drive from the Jibhi market.
★It's a beautiful village with wheat and maize fields, pear trees, and apple orchards.
★The Himalayan subtropical pine forests are on the both sides of the road from Jibhi to Tandi.
★The treehouse is surrounded by mountainous forests on all sides.
★There's nothing nearby, other than a sparsely populated village of about 100 people.
★The waterfall originates here.
★Tandi is the most beautiful village in the Jibhi area.
★You'll have a very comfortable life here, away from everything.
★Bus: Most of our guests come here by taking a bus from Delhi to Manali, and getting down at the AUT market. If you are coming by bus, go through the AUT tunnel, get down at the AUT Market, and then take a taxi to Tandi or a bus to Banjar, and then a bus to Jibhi, and then a taxi to Tandi. There maybe (rarely) direct buses to Jibhi. Unionized taxis in AUT and Banjar may charge far more. Arrange it through us for cheaper transportation.
★Car: If you are coming from Delhi, you will be passing through Chandigarh, Bilaspur and Mandi before you reach the AUT tunnel. The AUT tunnel is about 6 hours far from Chandigarh. If you are coming in your own car, you don't have to enter the tunnel. Just drive straight to Banjar, and then to Jibhi. From Jibhi, there is a road going up to Tandi. Just call us when you reach Jibhi. We'll instruct you how to go up.
★Air: The nearest airport is in Bhuntar, about 68 kilometers away.
★Rail: The nearest railway station is in Shimla, about 160 kilometer away. It takes a 7 hour drive to reach Jibhi, from Shimla. Buses take you here in 7-8 hours. Take a bus from Shimla to Manali. Get down at AUT and come to Jibhi in a taxi.
自我介绍
I'm a writer who lives in Tandi, a beautiful village above Jibhi in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. I love psychology, philosophy, economics, anthropology and literature. I've written critically acclaimed essays for Quillette, Foundation For Economic Education, Business Standard, Open Magazine and DNA. I moved to the hills to finish my debut novel. I manage over 100 listings in the Himalayas, and a few listings elsewhere. I manage the most successful Airbnbs in the Jibhi area. I've raised the earnings of my landlord 250 fold. Tandi, where I host many cabins, is now one of the richest settlements in India. I was a marketing manager with News Corp India and a journalist with Business Standard before.
