Ik ben 17 dagen te gast geweest, het huis voldeed aan mijn verwachtingen. Het is schoon, op loop afstand van het strand (13 minuten) en er zijn een aantal leuke restaurants en supermarkten in de buurt. Mijn enige kritische punt is dat het matras niet geweldig was (te zacht voor mij maar dat kan persoonlijke voorkeur zijn). Ik heb via Elaine een surfplank kunnen huren tijdens mijn verblijft wat ideaal was en ik kan het huis zeker aanraden.
Lovely place with lovely people and a lovely host in lovely Bareal 🧚🏻 Elaine was really kind/ helpful and especially the opportunity to rent surfboard/ wetsuit/ bicycle was a big plus 👌🏼 Really loved this little place!

Ferrel has the best of both - proximity to the entertainment of Baleal, the experience of laid back Portguese lifestyle in Ferrel, and the choice of all manner of surf spots, catering to any wind and any level.
Bike is perfectly fine and we offer good VTT bikes with Panniers for rent. With a longboard I recommend walking, or indeed skating! A car will get you further of course. There are buses between Ferrel and Peniche and Caldas (also train)and Lisbon.
We offer guided surf trips to off the beaten track locations for which we provide transport

I'm a well travelled freebird, I love to feel at home when I travel so I offer the same. My move to settle in Ferrel says the most about me - it's a small nurturing community where it is possible to live simply from day to day and enjoy whatever the land, sea and weather offer.
