This tranquil and cosy haven is the perfect wee base for a refreshing getaway, just a 40 minute drive into the heart of Napier City! This Waimarama Beach bach is set in picturesque grounds with lovely outdoor flow from both the living area and the bedroom. The main living area is a comfortably appointed space, with a relaxed set up plus a modern kitchen, including dish-drawer and microwave. The spacious bedroom has a king bed - enjoy lazy mornings with a gorgeous garden outlook... When additional sleeping is required, a double sofa bed is located in the lounge. To complete your stay and create a cosy atmosphere for indoor days, there is a fireplace with wood provided, and Sky TV. When the sun is shining, stroll to the beach for days in the sand and surf - the outdoor shower is on hand to keep things easy! Enjoy your laid back kiwi beach getaway in a lovely setting... Whamoori at Waimarama awaits..... A good place to stay for maximum 2 adults and 1 child as the location is a 3-minute walk from the beach, near the surf lifesaving club. It had every amenity expected of a small 1-bedroom bach, but it was a bit on the pricey side for a single bedroom with 1 of the 2 beds being a sofa bed. In saying that, the sofa bed was relatively comfortable as the thin mattress that comes with those beds was replaced. There is no wifi. We didn't turn the tv on. Otherwise, a fair place to stay if you are not looking for extravagance and want to avoid being online while there.
Beautiful spot and nice but small house. It was expensive and so we were disappointed to find dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. Also there was not enough soap left in the bathroom to be able to pump the dispenser. The drawer with plates and bowls was dirty (loose cocopops). The house would also benefit from a bin in the kitchen/place for recycling. When I wrote to bachcare about these issues they didn't reply. Would expect a bit more attention to detail for the price we paid ($550 a night). Otherwise we had a lovely stay though and the house was generally nicely presented and cute.

Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
