An oasis, get there while you can... Been traveling to Bali since I was a kid and seen the slow move up the west coast of the trendy hubs. Canggu is for sure the epicentre right now, but if you want canggu as of 8-10 years ago, go to kedungu. Plenty of waves (which you can watch from your balcony of this airbnb), more F&B popping up - the centre of town being Little Ripper, but also Downtown and Life Between are a great chill. A short ride away is Joshua District. Rice paddies, mountains and fresh air surround you... it's a dream. The accommodation itself is thoughtfully designed. Spacious bedroom with a/c, a proper living room with dining table which can be a rarity in many airbnbs, huge balcony and lounge area, suitable kitchen and drinking water. Can definitely recommend, either for an escape from the traffic & party central of canggu or for quieter longer stays in your own right in Kedungu.

Apartment Ulus is spotless, airy and bright as described and shown in the photos. Lots of amenities are provided including a blender and two fridges! With its charming staff and location right by its surf beach Pantai Kedungu yet within a few minutes walk from restaurants and cafés, Angel Bay is such a perfect place for long stays (if you're in to surfing) or a short break away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and Canggu.

Badly stained sheets with hair through them.... The place is very cute/ batchie type of vibe. It does have a subtle underlying dog/dirty kinda smell. Hard to explain but definitely has a smell. Unfortunately the bed sheets were badly stained and had hair in them. The cleaner came to change them straight away, she is lovely. Then once she left I checked them and they were exactly the same, stains and hair through them. I asked to check out and get full refund which I did and they were happy to do so. The staff/ management/ host all very friendly and very helpful. But it's just one of those places that would take the bed sheets for example to the absolute limit before replacing them.
