Photos don’t do justice to this stunningly decorated artists’ retreat. A feast for the eyes inside and out! The owners have meticulously created a one of a kind space. As a lighthouse aficionado loved the family connection to the longest serving keeper. Helpful local maps and info offered throughout our stay and fabulous breakfast every morning even though we left extra early on the last day, breakfast to go! Gracious hosts sharing their amazing home!

This was my 3rd visit in the last year. Everything about Kro in the Skye is magical. From the art-filled home to the stunning ocean where I saw a number of seals while swimming - one at close range - to the great conversations with Cathy and John and my comfy four-poster bed. You will feel very much at home!

I can't say enough for Kro in the Skye. Beautiful place. Perfect location. Sunset and water views to die for! Fabulous food, and art and woodworking talent galore! We were honored to be able to stay in such a remarkable place and to get to know our interesting and friendly hosts. Be sure to visit Cathy's art studio while you're there.

Cathy and John are both very friendly and laid back. They truly want you to enjoy staying in their home and are so kind to share their story as well as their home. They are also both outstanding artists and their home is a testament to that. Everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes in the outstanding finishes that they have created in each room. Even the structures outside are fun and fanciful. I truly believe that the home should be featured in Architecture Digest of House Beautiful! Cathy is also a great cook as well as jewelry artist. Be sure and save a little time to see her studio. Breakfasts are tailored to what each guest would like each morning with breakfast in the dining room or out on the porch which has a gorgeous view of the bay. Everything was amazing. The house is pretty close to Charlotte Town yet you feel like you're at the end of the world. So peaceful!!

This beautiful place is breathtaking inside and outside. It's like walking on clouds, in a dream, surrounded by beauty..the flowers, the sea, arts, smiles, love, harmony.
