The home is located in Biddeford Pool, a charming, historic village surrounded by amazing water views and connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. The large, sandy, Atlantic Ocean beach is an easy 3 min stroll from the house. The village streets and numerous walking paths are perfect for exploring the postcard-perfect, coastal Maine village and leaving your car behind. Be sure to venture into the East Point Audubon Sanctuary, where you’ll find dramatic scenes of Maine’s rocky coast, hidden lighthouses, and sweeping views into Casco Bay. Goldthwaite’s Store & Restaurant is also a don’t-miss stop for delicious fresh seafood, local brews, and everything else you might need for a day or a week in BP.
The main attraction though is the large, sandy BP Beach, just a 3 min walk from the house down a quiet country lane. The beach stays remarkably uncrowded due to very limited day-use parking. Surfers welcome!
The Pool is a nearly perfect New England coastal retreat.

There is parking for three vehicles at the house. Please be aware the driveway is narrow and at least one vehicle will be blocked by the others. Lindsay Lane is shared with one other home, please do not park in the shared portion or use the neighbor’s parking area as a turn-around. The beach and Biddeford Pool village are best accessed by foot or bike. To access the beach, cross Mile Stretch Road and walk a short distance down Elphis Road (just follow the sound of the surf). If you’ve had your fill of peace and quiet, Kennebunkport is a 15 min drive and downtown Portland is 30 mins away. Both make excellent day trips, or an evening out. Also, don’t overlook the 3 breweries (Banded Brewing is a fav) and several funky restaurants and shops located around Main & Alfred streets in downtown Biddeford
