McGregor Western Cape:
McGregor is a popular destination because of its remote location and old world charm. It is quite literally, as one resident puts it, on a road to nowhere. This adds to the small town feeling which has attracted artists, healers and a number of colorful characters as residents. Be on the lookout for events such as the local Friday night Cinema, Tapas on the Stoep at Green Gables and creative workshops. A beautiful drive out of the village leads to wine farms, magnificent landscapes and the famous Route 62.
The Old School guest accommodation is situated on the edge of the historic town of McGregor. Our neighbor is the Kranskop Nature Reserve and the area offers beautiful hiking and MTB trails where you can explore the rich vegetation of the Klein Karoo. You are also within walking distance of a handful of very good restaurants and quaint little shops.
Or just do life at your own pace and allow life to unfold amongst the wildflowers, birdsong, the sound of the horses grazing next door, and a tapestry of mountain views around you.

McGregor is a quaint Karoo Village with all the town's gems, bespoke eateries, and Saturday morning market within walking distance from The Old School.
