Beach: San Vito, a district of Cremia is on the lake with the old Romanesque church, two fine restaurants and pizzeria, a nice bar directly on the pier, and a wind-Kite surf -school. This beach is one of the best wind and kite surfing spot on Lake Como. The water is clear and clean, ideal for swimming, a relaxing promenade is along the sandy beach. Other beaches are located in the vicinity. Tennis courts, Velaclub are within 10 minutes. Worthwhile excursions: Menaggio, Bellagio, Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello, Isola Comacina (a small island in Lake Como), Markets in Menaggio and Dongo, ancient villages such as Livo. Values see cities: Como (50 min), Lugano (40 min), Chiavenna (30min), Milan (90 min). Nearby there is also the 'Giardino del Merlo', a large park with tropical trees, and the 'Museo della Barca Lariana” with more than 500 different kind of historic boats, is located in Pianello, just after Cremia.

From La Pace you can take endless trips short or long duration. Throughout the year there is the possibility to go with the 'car until 1000m sl, and then walk along beautiful trails with breathtaking views. These locations can be reached by mountain bike as well.
Refuge 'La Canua' (1500m sl) is reachable in about 20 min. drive, plus an hour walk. From there you have a wonderful view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.
In winter, a 1-hour drive, you can reach Madesimo, sunny location (3000m sl), with modern ski slopes.
