A nice quite place close to sun moon lake.

We enjoyed our stay here. A few details that might be helpful: Floor 1: Dining room + host living space Floor 2-3: Hotel-like rooms with room/bathroom that you see in the photos Floor 4: Penthouse with glass ceilings you see in photos. Through Airbnb, you won't know what room you will get (we stayed in the green / red one). Check out the listing for more reviews/details with this search term: 日月潭貓囒山會館 This host doesn't speak any English. It would have been nice if he had any written materials we could use our translator on. He didn't have any details about checkin/out, instructions about shower (wait for 5 minutes for hot water). I hope he develops some instructions for foreigners. Though we really only had an issue with the location -- message before you head there the correct location (or find in maps with the above). The host is very nice and helpful, and has worked on the property himself. It had nice views and vibe, although some funny details around the place.

This is an eccentric little stay about a 7 minute drive from Sun Moon Lake, best accessible by car or scooter. The place is as pictured - a colorful interior with lots of personality in the middle of a palm forest. Our host was quickly responsive as we were initially unable to locate the place (I recommend requesting the address from him directly, as the one listed on the Airbnb, likely due to translation, is incorrect) and he gave us some tips for a delicious dinner place in Puli. Also, the place is down the road from a lane that sparkles with hundreds of fireflies from dusk to midnight during the spring (Youshui lane, closest to Miracolo View Hotel), which makes for a romantic evening walk. The accommodations were almost there, as we ran into some puzzling situations (i.e. all but one of the electrical outlets were saran-wrapped over so we couldn’t use them), but overall it met our needs.
