Welcome to our newly remodeled beautiful home in the country on nearly an acre. The bedroom is good sized with a view of the pasture and trees. You will enjoy a comfortable Tempur-pedic queen mattress & black out curtains for a good nights sleep. Private bathroom with a shower is across the hall. The host will not be there during your stay, so you will have the living areas to yourself. Very spacious kitchen, living room & dining area to enjoy. A great couples getaway! Our home is in an area surrounded by farm land, blueberry fields, hazelnut & cherry orchards & hops. Numerous wineries are within the area as well. The Willamette River is close by. Buena Ferry & Boat launch is about 5 minutes away. Excellent for kayaking or fishing. Albany is 20 minutes away, Downtown Independence is 10 minutes away. Both offer great food, historic buildings and peaceful walks along the river and much more. There are horses to the south of our property and cows, horses & goats to the north. It is so much fun watching them run and play in the pastures. Note: We do ask that you do not feed or pet the neighbors animals. Thank you.

Annete’s place was a great stop for my husband and I on our long trip from Utah to Oregon. We enjoyed to peaceful surroundings, sweet country style and the friendly hosts. The house was pristinely clean and we almost felt a bit guilty leaving any kind of mess there, however we were comfortable and loved the amenities. Would book again!
What a lovely home!!! I would give this 10 stars if I could. Annette gave us great directions on how to find the house, and left some sweet treats for our anniversary weekend. We had a great time here, as well as in downtown Independence (only 10 minutes away). The home was so beautiful and inviting. There is a wood-burning fire pit, so we made s'mores each night as we sat by the fire. I spent an hour and a half looking for a listing with no shared spaces, and this was totally worth it. We were able to have the whole house to ourselves with a huge living space. I would definitely come back and would recommend to friends. Annette was very responsive during our stay and shared her story of restoring this home. There is everything one would need for a weekend away including coffee and tea, toiletries, games, wood for the fire pit, and more. Thanks Annette!
