Here, we invite you to relax and make yourself at home. Enjoy sipping morning coffee on the porch, taking leisurely walks along the beach, or simply basking in the serenity of this natural paradise. With views of the reserve from bedrooms and a sea view from the kitchen, you can relax and enjoy the sun, or snuggle up and bird watch in the winter rain. We are short stroll from Maraetai beach, playground and cafés, 3 min drive to Omana regional park or short drive to Duder regional park. Two level beach bach with a bedroom and bathroom on each level. Both the upper and lower level has its own deck, which is a perfect way to enjoy the surrounds. The top level has a spacious lounge and kitchen perfect for entertaining, with the main bedroom and on-site bathroom. While the second level has the TV room, a double bedroom and guest bathroom as well as its own deck and outdoor furniture. There is a cosy single room on the lower level that can be used for a fifth guest for an additional $10per/day. Both levels are fitted with a heat pump. The downstairs TV has all the modern apps loaded along with access to our Netflix, TV1+ (local channel) and Samsung TV and Apple TV. The power is 220-240 volts and a three flat pins on the plug points, if traveling from overseas please check if a power adapter is required. Please note the property has a no gatherings rule, this is a tranquil escape with beautiful views for a maximum of 5 guests. This is due to the proximity of our neighbours and for the comfort of our guests. We are on tank water which collects water from the rain. This water is treated and safe to drink. During summer, we ask that you use water responsibly and sparingly due to very low rainfall during this season.

We stayed for a couple of nights over Christmas as it was close to my sister’s house and my family and parents were visiting from out of town. The house is beautifully furnished and perfect for two families, with us downstairs where there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living space and deck, while my parents stayed upstairs where there was another bedroom and bathroom, living space, kitchen and another deck. It’s unfortunate that we were away so much because the house was lovely, peaceful, beautifully furnished and in a beautiful setting. It’s a two minute walk to the beach and with a cafe around the corner, it’s a great spot to stay. We’ve definitely found our house to stay in when we visit again. Richard was a wonderful host, super communicative and friendly. Highly recommend.

Richard and Biata's lovely home is a holiday on its own. I highly recommend it for families because it genuinely feels like a home away from home. Their house is clean and comfortable. They have generously provided toilet, bedroom and kitchen necessities. Everything is well thought out. 👍👍👍! There is an activity for everyone too. We swim, cook, eat, play board games, watch movies and relax. We enjoyed walking at the beach but the most important point for me is, I get to sip my coffee while looking at the trees and listening to the birds by the deck every morning. The neighborhood is peaceful, and beautiful. It is also very convenient because there is a library, playground and restaurants. Everything is just beautiful. Our aunt sincerely enjoyed her stay in New Zealand because of the tranquil and comfort she felt while staying at Richard and Biata's home. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. We look forward to our staycation in your place. ☺️

The home was immaculate, and it was the perfect beach vibe I was going for. Everything I needed was at my fingertips, and I could just tell that they cared about their guests - the little touches (such as the way the lotion and towels were setup) made all the difference. And very comfortable pillows too! I slept so well.

Bus
The 739 bus runs hourly, 7 days a week. On weekdays it operates from 6am to 7pm and weekends from 7am to 7pm. The 739 connects Maraetai, Beachlands, Ormiston and Botany, and connects Beachlands and Maraetai in both directions. We recommend you look at the Auckland Transport website or app for more details.
Walk or cycling
There are a number of cafes, restaurants, beaches and walks or hikes within walking distance. Be sure to pack your walking shoes!
Car
If you want to travel to Clevedon, Whitford, Kawakawa Bay or Duder Park it is easiest you will need your own car.

My wife, Biata, loves plants, baking, cooking and being out in nature. Our little beagle Lola just loves children and people, she has the softest nature but is food obsessed.
