At around 9:45 I got a call from Larry saying that the downstairs neighbor overheard a brawl coming from the apartment we occupied and would call the police. A brawl was the furthest thing from the truth. Rather, it was laughter being heard. I told Larry that everything was fine that I was perfectly okay. He had the opportunity to address my concern of the marijuana smell in the apartment upon check in. He chose to call me to address the neighbors concern instead of mine. He went on to say that if I didn’t quiet down we’d have to make alternative arrangements. I had broken no rules. I was aware that quiet hours would begin at 10:30pm. Shortly after hanging up the phone there was knock and a Springfield police officer at the door. We were shocked and disgusted. Again, no rules were broken. The officer laughed off this unnecessary call and wished my partner and I a goodnight. We were horrified by the lack of professionalism and customer service displayed during our stay.
