Pauline's home is amazing. We are already looking for a time to return to her beautiful home. Shelter Cove is an amazing area to explore nature. We saw gray whales from the shoreline and watched the seals and sea lions play each day (5 minute drive from the house). We explored tidal pools, walked the beautiful beaches, found a stream running into the Pacific, and laughed watching tractors pull boats in from the ocean (5 minute drive from the house). Abundant bird life all around. The house had amazing views. We watched the sunset from the comfy Adirondack chairs or the patio every day. The sounds of the Pacific lulled us to sleep each night in the extremely comfortable bed. The house is beautifully decorated. The art is lovely. The essentials are very well stocked. The drive to the Redwood Forests was beautiful and other worldly. The house was the perfect spot for a peaceful rest after a day of exploring the beautiful area. The best Airbnb yet!

If you want to experience the ruggedness of the Lost Coast with comfort and ease, this is the place. 8 min walk from the black sands beach trailhead (very much uphill in the way back). The house is wonderfully appointed to make you feel comfortable. Great backyard for having your morning coffee or watching the sunset. Lots of queen beds for guests and cool open layout living space downstairs. Kitchen had everything we needed and with a few groceries we never had to get in the car if we didn’t want to the whole weekend.

Beautiful view from the cliff overlooking the ocean! The neighboring houses are a bit close but they’re working on creating as much privacy as possible for the outdoor space.
