Our niece was getting married and lives in the community which was a beautiful ceremony around the lake. She had seen the Mountain Escape cabin and highly recommended it to us. We were very pleased with the cabin and community and would highly recommend mountain escape for your next family gathering. There is so much space for everyone to move around and a huge game/ family room in the lower level and a beautiful porch area to relax on for morning coffee and evening cocktails. You won't go wrong with this lovely cabin. Peter is a wonderful host and very kind and makes the process very easy. Wendy n Frank

This cabin was absolutely amazing! We had 4 kids with us ranging from 9-13 and this place was perfect. We took full advantage of the game room, the basketball courts, the beach, the creek, and the walking trails that were all located in the neighborhood. I have no doubt that if we would have went in the summer that the pool would have been great! Grandfather Mountain was a fun experience that everyone enjoyed. Peter, the host, was great at communicating and responding to me leading up to the trip and while we were there. He made sure his cabin was stocked with anything you could need- coffee pot, blender, pots/pans, a grill, etc. We have stayed in places that had the bare minimum- not this cabin and we were grateful for thought that went into having everything a person might need. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a beautiful place to stay who enjoys the mountains!

My family of 6, including 2 kids and 2 senior citizens all enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood and surroundings were beautiful and relatively convenient to the places we wanted to visit.
