We arrived later than we anticipated because we meandered and enjoyed the scenery and the sunset. As a result of our leisurely pace we arrive without having gotten dinner supplies. William not only said he had food he could share but cooked dinner for us. We provided a bottle of wine and then enjoyed interesting conversation across a wide range of topics, including local history over a simple and delicious dinner. We left with the makings of breakfast and a desire to share more conversations (only this time we will do the cooking!) Seeing the property and its setting in daylight confirmed my commitment to return. I was able to watch two herons glide in and take up a hunting stance. I could hear a number of different bird calls while I enjoyed my morning coffee. It is quiet, it is peaceful, it is full of potential for walking and hiking in any season. And if it is too cold or too wet, we can always enjoy games, cooking, conversation or quiet reading.

If you want to be quiet in nature, surrounded by beautiful trees and a lot of water- stay here! My husband and I had a wonderful time- even in the rain! The wrap-around deck was lovely! William, the host, was extremely accommodating and very friendly. My husband and I love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with good quality kitchen/cooking supplies. One suggestion- bring board games, cards, or a good book to read if you plan on staying indoors! Cozy up on the lazyboy facing the lake and enjoy life!

Êtres d'exception dans un lieu d'exception! La famille Fraser, la pointe Fraser et Dundee exposent un calme, une quiétude et une pure beauté naturelle via leurs chalets. Il est ultra intéressant de discuter avec eux depuis maintenant 12 ans pour ma part. L'accès au fleuve et à un archipel d'îles offre une chance inoubliable de partir à la rencontre de nids de balbuzards à hauteur de canot, de plantes émergentes des eaux aux couleurs de l'arc-en-ciel et d'un coucher de soleil à couper le souffle! Dundee est le joyau de biodiversité le moins bien connu du Québec à coup sûr, et la famille Fraser y contribue via un couvert forestier important et une ouverture écologique surprenante. Si vous n'avez jamais vécu un week-end à Dundee, vous vous devez de loger sur la pointe Fraser 😀

Cannot recommend this cottage enough. It’s very comfortable and clean, right on the river with a nice wraparound deck to enjoy the views. William was a great host. Extremely proactive reaching out, checked in on us, dropped off fresh tomatoes, apples, and raspberries from the garden, let us borrow a kayak, and was just overall an extremely kind, friendly, and thoughtful human being. The neighbours were very kind as well and even took us canoeing with them. We will be back as soon as we have time.
