We really enjoyed our stay at Tweed Cottage. The weather for our week was very variable but Philippa's suggestions and comfortable home made for a lovely week that was packed with activity.

Beautifully situated property in the heart of Northumbrian history. Very close to many of the north east's spectacular national heritage sights and a stones throw away from the Scottish borders. Proactive host checking that we need anything via the app, but quite honestly, we were in need of nothing other than more time. The property was clean, homely and had clear instructions on how to use the amenities. There was also milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and crisps upon arrival. The only tiny quarm was that the single bed was a little to soft for my aging back, so I would be lying if I said that I'd slept well. Having said that, I find it difficult to sleep anywhere that isn't my own bed. I would happily recommend this property and the host. I look forward to returning in the future to explore more of our local hidden gems. Except this next time, I bagsy the firm king size bed in the master bedroom, that I'd let my mam have. It was her birthday after all.
