Couples, families, walkers, birders, surfers all welcome to enjoy our hospitality! The perfect location to relax and soak up the natural beauty of Yorkshire. Follow us @magnuslodgeannexe on IG. A unique converted Annexe in what was once the original farm in Bessingby. The accommodation is split over 2 levels with a staircase: Ground floor: entrance room and the perfect space for coats, shoes, muddy boots, and space to dry clothes (eg. swimsuits). First floor (up one short flight of stairs): Large light, living space with sofas, dining table, TV. Large bedroom with double bed. Smaller bedroom with 2 single beds. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, oil, salt and pepper provided. There is off road parking for 2 cars and space for safe bike storage. 55” flat screen TV with Freesat and free WiFi are all provided. There is a private outside space for you to enjoy with tables and chairs available in spring/summer. Bringing surf boards? We're happy to help find a place to wash your kit and store your boards during your stay in one of our outbuildings. A short drive to all the local town centre amenities, shops and supermarkets. What guests say they most enjoy: The peaceful location. The unique space and size. The best of both worlds - a quiet spot only a few minutes drive away from town. Responsiveness and flexibility of the hosts to accommodate requests (eg. earlier/later check ins/outs, extra dogs). This might not be the right place for you if: You need a larger garden or a grassy area. You have access to your own private outside area but it is currently pebbled. There is a public footpath and walk close to the house that is popular with many dog walkers. You prefer newer rental homes/spaces. Our space is an old converted farm building and was once an artist studio too. Therefore there is always work to be done to keep on improving it which we are in the process of doing. But if you love places with a bit of character and history you'll feel at home. You don't want to ever see your hosts! We live in a house on the same property although your driveway and entrance is completely private. However one upstairs window in the living area looks out onto a garden that we are likely to use when the sun is shining.
Fantastic spot. Lovely and peaceful surroundings with the birds singing. Highly recommend staying here. Fabulous
We were really pleased with our stay at The Annexe. The location is very private and tucked away in a beautiful village which is very well located to explore the Yorkshire Coast. The Annexe was immaculately clean and nicely decorated, with a well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom is enormous. The second bedroom was perfect for our little girl (5). We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.
Our stay at the annex was amazing. Totally amazing space, and so private. Spotless clean, and everything you need in a home. Lots of local places just a few limited away. Communication with Frances was so easy with clear instructions. Will definitely stay again.
My family and I have just returned from a fabulous stay at The Annexe at St Magnus Lodge. We all agreed it has been one of the best Airbnb's we have stayed in. Very spacious, clean, quiet equipped with anything you could possibly need. So close to the coast, we visited Bridlington, Flamborough head and Danes Dyke to name a few and all withing 20 minutes drive. The hosts responded quickly and efficiently with instructions about the property. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.
