Good mattress. Good finishes on fixtures and fittings. Door handles don’t fall off! No steps to battle with at railway station. An important point for people who have a suitcase relying on a ramp to wheel their case. The ramp was a relief as was the short walk to the property. I had my own coffee plunger. Always a useful item. Thank you.

This is a lovely cottage, and is suitable for 4 people, although I rented it just for myself! it was well worth it. It this been carefully modernised with calming shades of blue, an excellent kitchen, fridge and freezer, coffee maker and welcome milk in the fridge, biscuits, jam for breakfast. The cottage has a back yard, with a couple of garden settees, and I really enjoyed sitting out there with my arrival cups of tea and a snatch of sunshine! It is also about 5-7 minutes walk from the station and Salts Mill, as well as a deli where I bought delicious cheese, an arts and crafts shop where you can also have coffee and cake, and a corner shop that also sells wine. I am 71, and have to be careful on old twisty stairs, but the banister rail is carefully twisty too, and well attached, so I was fine doing that and I liked the fact that that the shiny new shower and loo are up there too, so easy for nighttime. All in all, a lovely break, my thanks to Joanne!

We've visited Salt's Mill many times but it's been a treat to stay in one of the unique Saltaire village houses .l for a couple of days. Jo and Shaun's house retains the Victorian mouldings but has been furnished in a comfortable, contemporary style and offers a superb kitchen and shower room. The two bedrooms have comfy beds and plenty of hangers, hairdryer, iron etc. And importantly, blackout blinds! Millk, teabags, coffee and biscuits await you for a welcome cuppa on arrival and there's an espresso machine and coffee for the morning brew. There are bottles of toiletries and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The house is convenient for all local amenities in this UNESCO World Heritage site and 'beyond' is easily accesssed. Helen's Cottage is perfect for exploring the area or just experiencing urban village life with everything you need a short walk away in the village or on Bingley Road. And the architecture is stunning!
