The exterior of the house may not look like much, but it didn’t matter because the inside was really clean, organised and had such an amazing view of the church. My family and I were extremely happy with our stay. Highly recommended!!

This place has a gorgeous view. Beds were comfortable. Agree with the other reviews that the outside still looks like it needs some siding, but it didn't affect our stay. Well equipped. We would recommend it as a family of three with a toddler.

We hebben een fijne week gehad in Stykkisholmur. Het huis is erg mooi en zeer comfortabel. In de serre kun je heerlijk zitten en heb je prachtig uitzicht over de baai en de kerk. Stykkisholmur is een goede plek om van daaruit autotochten te maken over het schiereiland Snaefelsness. Kortom we hebben genoten.

Fantastic house in a great location with amazing views. We were a little disconcerted when we arrived as work is still being done on the house and it has no cladding, but any doubts disappeared as soon as we opened the front door. The house is huge and pristine. Everything, from the kitchen equipment to toiletries to shawls for guests to use, is high end. The outside space is amazing. Even on a cold windy evening, we were able to enjoy the hot tub with that spectacular view (& braved the cold tub too!). The BBQ area is great - so much thought has gone into making it useable whatever the weather, with a roof and heater for comfort. A proper chef’s kitchen makes self catering so easy, and the dining and sitting area overlooking the sea is ideal for chilly evenings. Very convenient for walking to the harbour and restaurants, as well as a supermarket just a couple of minutes away.
