The apartment is iideally located in the arena district of Périgueux, close to the heart of the city. It is a quiet and popular area, centered around its circular and particularly pleasant garden (a public garden), installed on the site of the old Roman arenas of which some vestiges remain. The apartment is located in a small quiet street and close to everything, it will allow you to discover the city of Périgueux and its charms on foot. The heart of the city, with its pedestrian streets and their medieval buildings, its restaurants, its markets (Wednesday and Saturday), the main monuments (Cathedral Sain-Front, Vésone tower, Mataguerre tower, etc.) and museums (Vésunna, Périgord museum, etc.), is a 5-minute walk away. The "Odyssée" theatre, the city's performance halls and cinemas are also nearby. Shops and services (post office, etc.) are also in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.
The "voie verte" ("green way") is a route open to pedestrians and bicycles that crosses the agglomeration from east to west along the Isle River. It is very popular with Périgourdins who come here to stroll, run and cycle. If you continue beyond the city, it allows you to discover part of the Dordogne (and cycle to the Gironde by bike!!) via the cycle path and the "Véloroute".

To discover and enjoy Périgueux: from the apartment, all the main places of interest, restaurants and all the amenities of Périgueux are within walking distance. A network of urban buses (stops less than 5 minutes from the apartment) allows you to reach the outside of the city.
To discover Périgord: Green tourism
From the apartment which is close to the train & bus stations, you can easily discover Périgord without taking the car. The Dordogne department has developed a network of trains and buses allowing visitors to visit the tourist sites of the department without taking the car, just by climbing on the train, the bus and/or riding their bike. From the apartment, you are 5 minutes from the stations (train and buses), so you can easily access all these sites. Otherwise all transportations options to/from the apartement:
- by train, from Périgueux train station which is a 5-minute walk from the apartment. A large number of cities and sites are accessible by train.
- by bus: a bus network leaving from Périgueux allows you to travel throughout Périgord. Access from the bus station (next to the train station, 5 minutes) or from various stops near the apartment.
- by car: either your own if you came with it, or a rental vehicle (various rental agencies in Périgueux)
- by bike: either the city bikes or bikes rentals (Veloc'café 7 Av. Daumesnil, 24000 Périgueux)
