Ondanks dat het huis toch wel een beetje vergane glorie is. Was het personeel echt super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn heerlijk ruim, meer dan voldoende parkeergelegenheid en het zwembad is fantastisch. Het is wel echt een geleefd huis. Hier en daar kan wat onderhoud in de keuken en badkamer gedaan worden. Maar overal was het een heerlijke ervaring. Ondanks dat we er met 11 zaten konden we ons makkelijk terug trekken en hadden we privacy. daarbij waren de gezamenlijke ruimtes heerlijk om ook echt samen in rond te hangen. dus overal een heerlijk huis. Ook voelde we ons er echt veilig. Enkel wat onderhoud details die voor ons Europeanen miss anders zijn dan het land van bestemming. Ik zou graa nog is terug komen.

The alarm bells were ringing as soon as the gate opened… Check in was at 2pm, we arrived at 4:30pm. As soon as the gate was opened there was a flood of 6 or so young adults scattering out and away. Inside staff were frantically trying to clean up. Clearly they were having some kind of gathering - bottom floor smelt of cigarette smoke, kitchen had dirty dishes with food on the benches. Staff were opening windows, doing dishes, sweeping up but that was only part of what still needed addressing. We brought all our luggage in (11 people) and allocated rooms. Only one bath towel per room - how will that work? Then it started to rain! Water started flowing through the kitchen ceiling and through the light fittings. Water also started flowing down the internal tiled stairs. The situation had now become seriously dangerous and we had to get out. But there was no internet and staff couldn’t get it working (eventually did after some 20mins). There were numerous other electrical safety issues.
