Maison Coustère is a beautifully renovated 17th century country house, completed in 2021 incorporating a blend of vintage & modern design. The house is situated in an extremely tranquil area, surrounded by fields and forest, yet within easy walking distance from a medieval spa town. Built for indoor/outdoor living, the house has 4 bedrooms, within a spacious layout which could accommodate 2-3 families if required. It is a family home designed for eating and socialising at either the 8 metre long kitchen island, a 10 seater dining table or at the exterior table outside by the pool. Main Space The ground floor is largely open plan, with living space & television area with wood burning stove, next to a sitting area with bench seating. There is a shower room on the ground floor along with a walk in pantry/utility area equipped with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen features an 8 metre long solid wood island, with Neff induction stove, Miele oven, microwave and dishwasher, and a bean to cup coffee machine. There is a large American style fridge with ice & water tap and a separate small wine and beer fridge. 4 large sliding doors open onto to a 150 square meter decked terrace, with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, pool, dining table, seating spaces & fire pit. Also on the ground floor is an office with desk for remote working, a gaming television, pull-out couch for additional guests. Bedrooms The master suite is on the 3rd floor and has an open plan ensuite bathroom with bath, separate shower and large vanity. A sofa in the room provides a quiet area for reading and also serves as a pull-out bed for 2 people. Bedroom 2 is on the 2nd floor has a King size bed with ensuite and shower. It has a stand-alone desk. Bedroom 3 is on the 2nd floor has a Queen size bed and ensuite with shower. It also has a built-in desk. Bedroom 4 on the 2nd floor is a children’s room however it has a king sized bed so suitable for adults. Toys and books in both English and French available to use. Outside In addition to the wrap around pool terrace, there is an outdoor dining area, ping pong table, a fire pit for evening bonfires and lounge chairs. The owner is an avid gardener so there are seasonal vegetables that you are welcome to and also fresh eggs from the chickens. In summer Maison Coustere also has lots of beautiful flowers in bloom around the property.
