Giraffe themed Single bedroom that overlooks the front garden and Ruahine Ranges. The property is charming, and a one-of-a-kind place. Please note We have three cats here for you to pet. Also two dogs on site and we are surrounded by farmland. We offer this room in our home as a safe, clean space for you to rest your head for the night. Hewitts Homestead is a 136 years old, 399m2 homestead which has been refurbished to a high quality. Built in 1888 it is a stunning example of NZ history. Large homestead with very quiet surroundings. This room is on the ground floor by the entrance. The guest bathroom is attached -ensuite. The shower is fully enclosed and powerful! The bed has an electric blanket fitted. This room does not have a TV. The microwave in the kitchen can be used for heating snacks. You may put basics in our fridge eg. milk/yogurt. You do not have use of our freezer. Kitchen access for meal preparation is limited but available to clean, tidy and considerate guests who need to heat up a small meal (due to past incidents we limit availability and equipment) we occasionally host dinners, and you might just catch us on a wood-fired pizza night, a family meal, or a barbecue, which you're warmly invited to join! We also offer amazing meals at an additional cost if you need someone to cook for you. But please give us 24, preferably 48 hours notice There is a large Patio, deck area and extensive garden with woodland area all available to guests. Secure on site parking - electric (key coded) gates at entrance driveway and front door. Please take note that we have cats and dogs in the house but do not allow them in your room as they pull on the surface of the sofa. If you are bringing a dog, they are not allowed on the sofa in this room. For the purpose of clarity please note that we are rural and on a farm, we are 12-15 minutes drive from the centre of town and we love it that way!! Any questions please ask before booking. Thanks
