Excellent location, private beach access was the highlight. House was a bit dated but well appointed with everything you’d need for a week’s stay. We had two families and had the perfect amount of beds for everyone. It was about a 25 min walk into New Buffalo which is very charming, lots of great restaurants and shops. Some minor upgrades to the house would make it more conducive to a stay at the beach starting with an outdoor hose or shower to rinse sand off before coming inside. We brought half the beach in with us every day as there was no place to rinse off before coming inside. The yard could use some maintenance and the house an exterminator. I would expect a certain amount of wildlife with lake life but the house was full of spiders. Ultimately you’re paying for the easy beach access and staying on a street with multimillion dollar homes.
