Carol and her lovely Couples Retreat are a winning combination! Right from the start, we knew that we would have an enjoyable stay. Having breakfast in the private back garden overlooking the lake and the fields cannot be beat. Carol met us upon arrival giving us local recommendations and tips. We really appreciated all of the breakfast food items such as milk, bread, butter, jams, crumpets, biscuits as well as coffee and tea. Chatting with Carol was an extra bonus as she is a very interesting person. Her place is spotless, private and cosy. Being able to walk to the beach in a few minutes, take long walks along the coastal path and walk into Bude make Carol’s retreat the ideal place for a stay in Cornwall. We highly recommend Carol’s place. You will not be disappointed!

Carol is a very kind and helpful host. The accommodation is perfect and has everything you need and it's walking distance to the beach, with a lovely view of the lake. We plan to visit again soon. :)

Carol was a very friendly and helpful host and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A very peaceful setting but still close and within walking distance of local beaches and amenities. We loved sitting in Carol's garden, overlooking the lake, and watching the geese activity. A very enjoyable and relaxing visit in very comfortable surroundings. We would love to visit again.

Lovely secrete spot a short walk from the town centre. Carol is a lovely and helpful host, The place is small and very cozy, and the bed is super-comfy. Bathroom is spotless and the shower has great pressure and easy temperature setting. Very silent at night. In the morning you can enjoy the sunrise with a coffee in the beautiful garden watching the most amazing variety of birds in the reservoir just a few yards over the fence. The beach and a few pubs and restaurants are just down the road, and the town centre over the hill, you won't need transport.
