Really nice place, Emma was informative and helpful. Great location outside of the traffic chaos in Kendal centre, making for easy escape to the lakes. Under an hour to all the main riding destinations. A small but functional place with traditional wood floors, feels very homely and was perfect for a couple. The bike storage is not quite as advertised. I would not be comfortable leaving bikes in the back garden, there's no lock anchor points or secured locker. You can put them in the basement but that means getting them down a very tight staircase and with modern bikes that's tricky. So we had to leave them against the radiator in the living room. Personally I like looking at my bike so no problem there! All in all we will be back if we want another weekend in the lakes. Thanks Emma!

The cottage is pretty much as described and in a convenient location. Emma's communication is good and she is quick to respond. Good to get a parking pass but we never managed to park in the actual street. The decoration is abit tired in some places. Old fashioned bathroom. Some things we felt were a bit basic; no terrestial TV (should be easy to arrange with wi-fi) only 2 powerpoints in the kitchen, small dining table doubles as TV and router stand. House was cold until we eventually worked out how to turn the heating up although it doesn't come on at 8 a.m. as stated.

Lovely cosy cottage perfect for two, close to the town centre so easy walking distance. Log burner was a perfect addition on those chilly nights. Well located for visiting Windermere. Good selection of pubs in Kendal and Scouts Scar is perfect for dog walking.
