The house is beautiful! As in, stunning. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. All of the appliances worked as expected. We had a few challenges with our stay, but overall a 4 star review seems appropriate. Notes to the management company: there was a lot of dog fur in the upstairs king bed. We washed the linens and that resolved the issue, so possibly they were not washed before. There wasn’t a “how that house works and things to do” book, which would have been nice. Finally, a note to future visitors: the natural sand dunes were washed away in a storm. The property owner has trucked in sand to hide the foundation. The “rebuilding” evidently makes it qualify as a federally protected dune. We learned this from a very hostile neighbor. We respect the federal protected dunes, it just was not clear at all this hill qualified. A sign placed there would be helpful to avoid further misunderstandings and conflicts. The new mural on the fireplace is exquisite!

Safety concerns! If you and your family want to enjoy the beach, you should book elsewhere. Unfortunately this area was hit by hurricane Michael 2 years ago. There is still debris on the beach and in the water such as fencing from the dunes and pieces of broken boardwalks sticking up out of the dirt. At high tide some of this is underwater and not visible for you to avoid. Also, the beach erosion has been very significant behind the home. Your beach area is much smaller than the listing pictures show. The multi unit rental next door has no beach, in fact the water is up to the house even at low tide. Those guests came to our beach area during our stay making it very crowded. I shared my concerns with Natural Retreats and this was the entirety of their response “ I understand. Those pictures were taken 2 months ago. We have had storms recently and the erosion is unpredictable.” This is a beautiful home and lovely unspoiled area, but you won’t be able to enjoy the beach much.

This property is a very beautiful newer house with plenty of amenities. It’s big enough to fit large families steps away from the beach. The bedding and furniture is very comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking to just unwind and relax in a amazing beach house. It’s not your typical tourist area, it pretty low key. For us it was perfect we stayed at the house cooked our own meals sat on the beach and fished most of the vacation. I personally didn’t see a lot of night life in the area, there could potentially be, but we were fine just staying at the house watching the beautiful sunset and relaxing.
