Apartment ''Dolcetto'' has a spacious and bright living room, 3 bedrooms with 3 private bathrooms, a fully equipped living-kitchen directly connected to the private terras and garden, and the shared swimming pool. Dolcetto, 140 m2 for 6/7 people. The ''Dolcetto'' apartment is one of the three apartments which compose the holiday house la Ginestra. La Ginestra is a spacious and bright 3-floors house located in the countyside of Roncogennaro, a very small village in the heart of Piedmont. The house was restored in 2011 by two architects, and is composed by 3 appartments which can also be rented as one big house. The Dolcetto apartment is located on the ground floor, has his own independent entrance, heating system, wifi (also by the pool) and facilities.The apartment has a big and comfortable kitchen-living. The kitchen is well equiped and the livingroom bright and modern, with a compfy couch. There are 3 cozy bedrooms with double bed and sleeping couch for 1 person. Each bedroom has is own private bathroom. It has also a private terrace with view on the garden and the hills and has direct access to the shared swimming pool (with the other two apartments). This apartment has a wonderful porch to sit in where you can enjoy the nature, from there you enter to the main living area, as well as to all the rooms. In the open living/dining area you have a cozy sitting close to the fireplace, dining and the open kitchen. The house is surrounded by history, culinary culture and nature, now under the UNESCO heritage. Situated on the top of a hill amongst winefields and truffle forest you will experience Piedmont like a local and be delighted by the quietness of the nature. Nearby you will also find a historic cities as Acqui Terme, Asti and Alba. In only one hour drive you can reach the beautiful beaches of Liguria.

From the house you can take long walks in the nature. There are a lot of marked paths that will let you discover beautiful places in the countryside, you can walk among the winefilds, also cross them and feel the passion of the farmers for their wines, and dicover beautiful scenery expecially during the sunset.
If you are interested in cycling, the house is located in the middle of a mountain bike track which will take you in beautiful places, through the heart of the nature. If you prefer road biking it is also possible to depart from the house and bike through the hills nearby.
We can also arrange a guided bike tour and you can choose different tipes of tours.
If you prefer horse riding instead, there are a lot of places where you can get a guided tour through the hills of the Langhe and Monferrato.
The zone in which you will stay is famous for his wines; Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese, Moscato and Bracchetto. In the area you'll find a lot of these tipes of wine fields.
There are a lot Wine Houses not far from the house. Most of them are in Canelli and Nizza Monferrato (10 minutes by car from the house). Sometimes they organize wine tasting events, but it's also possible to organize private ones; visit the wine cellars, taste the wines and have a little aperitivo.
You can also easly reach the most famous wine zones in piedmont, like Barolo and Alba, in less than 40 minutes by car.
From La Ginestra you can easly reach:
-The small village of Acqui Terme which is famous for the hot geotermal water coming up from the ground. 15 minutes by car.
-Canelli and Nizza Monferrato famous for their wine factories and underground wine cellars.
-In 60 minutes by car you can reach Noli and Varigotti two beatiful small villages by the sea where you can find nice beaches and eat really good fish.
Often, the local villages organize some very nice events, especially in April/may and September/October, like the medieval festivity in Canelli, or the open day of the underground wine cellars.
Also the big cities are easily reachable:
- Torino, 60 minutes by car.
- Genova, 60 minutes by car.
- The shopping city of Milano, 90 minutes by car.

We are an Italian family living in the beautiful hills of the Langhe and Monferrato. Paolo always worked as an architect and in 2011 he restored an old building to a beautiful holiday house, la Ginestra. He now is trying to share his passion for Piemonte with his guest and to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Kilian is Paolo's son, 21 years old and also interested in design and tourism. During the week he lives in Milano, and in the weekends in Roncogennaro. We both are very friendly, helpful and open people. We like to make our guests feel at home and to let them have an incredible experience of Piemonte at La Ginestra.
