David's nature reserve is a spectacular escape for standard tourist fare. David is a wonderful, responsive host with a real passion for conservation and birds. We opted for the meal service and honestly these were the best meals we had in our entire Costa Rica trip. The lady who cooks for you is incredibly nice and clearly knows how to make delicious meals! David himself is very friendly and eager to share his love for nature. The cabin itself is electricity-free but comfortable. We stayed here with our 3.5 year old and he really enjoyed being in the middle of nature and hiking the local trails. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape to a quiet nature-first holiday.

Our stay at Las Arrieras Nature Reserve was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! Our cabin was spacious, clean, and comfortable. True to the listing’s description, we felt immersed in the rainforest. A well-maintained trail system on the Reserve offered great hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities. Opting for the small additional charge to have meals prepared for us at the Reserve turned out to be a great decision – we were treated to generous portions of delicious homestyle Costa Rican dishes, adding an unexpected highlight to our stay.  Our host David was generous and attentive, going above and beyond to make sure our visit was comfortable and memorable. What’s more, he is an incredibly passionate and knowledgeable tropical ecologist. He has a vast knowledge of Costa Rican flora and fauna which he shared to provide us with remarkable wildlife encounters. If you are a nature lover who wants to experience Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity, you will love this place!

Merveilleux endroit que ce petit coin de paradis. David est un garçon très très attentionné et empathique. Il est passionné par sa réserve naturelle qu’il entretient avec intelligence et amour. Nous avons passé un vraiment excellent moment avec lui dans cet endroit fantastique. Merci David !

David his place was the best i have ever seen in Costa Rica by far. The surroundings where amazing. the lodge was in the Middle of the jungle. We were amazed nu this beautiful place. David and his wife gave us the best time of our lives. The food was the best we ever ate in Costa Rica. i would recommend this place to everybody who is looking for adventure in the jungle. David we Will be back soon ☺️🕷️🙏
