Das Strandhaus liegt in spektakulärer Lage oberhalb des Strandes mit tollem Ausblick auf die Bucht. Zu Fuß ist das nahegelegene Städtchen gut zu erreichen. Dort kann man jederzeit gut essen und einkaufen. Die Brandung des Meeres kann auch mal richtig laut werden und es ist sicher kein Fehler Ear plugs dabei zu haben. Gerade in den Wintermonaten muss man, wegen der Nähe zum Meer, auch mit etwas Feuchtigkeit im Haus rechnen. Ein wirklich außergewöhnlicher Ort.

This is a truly special place. Secluded, but within walking distance to Porto da Cruz. The surf at the pebble beach underneath was pretty choppy which was a delight for our 8 and 9 year old boys who loved frolicking in the waves. It's fun watching the surfers and paragliders from the spacious terrace. Wolfram organised our stay meticulously and was also helpful in organising a rental car for us. The local owners were wonderful as well. We really enjoyed our stay here!!!

The beach house was absolutely excellent, the area is superb, the rum factory in the town is a must. The house had beach towels which was great, if you use the washing machine you have to turn it off after it finishes and wait a few minutes for it to unlock. Sunrise from the house is superb. The man who owns the gardens and outbuildings is lovely and comes down every so often to tend to his plants. The walk down the dirt track behind the house takes you straight to the sea front of Porto da Cruz and is ten minutes, much better than driving. The kitchen is well equipped and the fire pit/bbq house is a really great way to cook.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Alleinlage ist perfekt mit die Nähe zum Meer. Das Rauschen der Wellen haben wir noch immer in den Ohren. Wir haben viele schöne Erinnerungen mitgenommen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Lumera. It is not the most modern villa however the hosts were welcoming, it was very clean and had all the facilities we needed including good WiFi and multiple ways to make coffee! The outstanding feature of this villa is it's location - it has a tremendous view over the beach towards Penha d'Águia, it is only a couple of minutes walk down to the beach and it is possible to walk along the foreshore to the town. We really enjoyed being able to watch the surfers in the afternoon and then have the location to ourselves in the evening finally falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.
