This is what it's like to live in Tokyo! A quiet neighborhood with small shops and restaurants. Two nearby shrines. Easy access to the hustle and bustle of greater Tokyo, but far enough away to unwind when you're done exploring for the day. I loved this place. I was expecting an apartment experience, not a hotel, and that's exactly what I got. Spacious enough that my traveling companion and I didn't get in each other's way, even in the shower! The kitchen was easy to use (we made an Italian meal for New Year's Eve). The washer works, once you translate the buttons, but we used a nearby laundromat that was super convenient. Everything you need is in the apartment or very close by. I personally enjoyed the sound of passing trains at Tachiaigawa Station; I found them very soothing. Your mileage may vary. Josh was a perfect host; rapid response when I had questions or requests, but otherwise let us be. I really felt like the place was ours. As close to being a local as you can get!

I had an enjoyable 4 week stay at Josh's place. The apartment was clean, was close to the metro station, had everything I needed, and was a great value because of the long stay discount. A couple things to note is that the blanket provided was thin, but since I stayed during tail end of summer and early autumn, it wasn't too cold at night. Also to reiterate, the apartment is very close to the tracks so the express trains that bypass the nearby station may be noisy for some - bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, everything else was great here and I would recommend it.

Had a great time visiting a friend who lives nearby. Close to a train station - the 2 minute walk in the title isn't an exaggeration. Very convenient for getting around Light sleepers might find the noise of the passing trains bothersome, since the house is very close to the rails. Also has several convenience stores and both high end and affordable restaurants next to the station. All the amenities work perfectly well. Quite spacious. Would stay here again in the future.
