Away from the city center, yet close to the market, the only sound you will hear is the chirping of birds. - Nestled in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, Milton Abbott (Heritage Suites) is a suite room in a classic 19th-century British colonial estate bungalow with 4 rooms in all. - This listing is for the Heritage suite room only. Please connect with the host to book the other rooms. - The room and the bungalow will transport you to the heritage era with it’s tasteful and cosy wooden interiors. -Layout: As you enter the home you come across an old-world sitting area looking out to the beautiful gardens of the estate. As you turn left you come across the charming Milton Abbott (Heritage Suites) a 2-bed suite with a shared bathroom offering leisurely views of the lush gardens, perfect for a small family. -Take a walk amongst the tranquil meadows or along the Golf Course, stretch out a yoga mat in the gardens for peaceful meditation, sip on a cup of coffee while lounging in the gardens, cosy up to your loved ones in front of the fireplace, or gather the family together for a delicious, home-cooked feast in our shared dining room. - The strong wi-fi connection throughout the home and surrounding gardens make for a perfect workation. - What’s a good vacation without some scrumptious food? Our chef will serve you some splendid Tamil, Sri Lankan, and English delicacies to enjoy with your friends and family. - Spend your nights sitting around the bonfire and find solace stargazing under the night sky, making memories of a lifetime.

Stayed there for 3 days and this is such an idyllic and calming place. The property itself is so earthy, rustic and always filled with birds chirping :) This heritage bungalow is nestled amidst stunning natural beauty, with mountains as our backdrop and birds' soothing sounds, it was truly a serene retreat. We cherished the opportunity to disconnect from daily life. The home cooked meals, typical of South Indian cuisines, were delicious, allowing is to savor the region's authentic flavors. The staffs were exceptionally warm and accommodating, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Great staff especially Mr. Lionel and Mr. Udhay for taking great care of us, thank you.
We enjoyed an enchanting two-night stay at Milton Abbott Bungalow in Ooty, a captivating colonial gem nestled in a sprawling 5-acre garden just a stone's throw away from the bustling Ooty town. This century-old bungalow provided us with a rare glimpse into the refined lifestyle of British planters, immersing us in an era of charm and tranquility. Our journey was guided by the attentive manager, Mr. Lionel, who ensured our arrival was smooth and our entire experience seamless. Chef Mr. Alwyn cooked us delectable dinners on both evenings. The dedicated service of Mr. Udhay added an extra layer of comfort, ensuring our needs were met promptly, from serving delightful snacks to igniting a comforting bonfire in the chilly weather. Special thanks to Ms. Amrutha from Saffron Stays for her impeccable efforts in preserving the bungalow's unique charm. Very nice property near the Golf course with very good privacy and ideal to take small walks around in ootys beautiful climate
This property is managed by Safforn stays. It is actually a welding company guest house. The property manager Lionel is sweat person. But the images doesn’t do justice to the state of the property. The garden is wrecked and there is no place to sit comfortably outside. The Saffron stays managers are horrible and didn’t give me a straight answer when i wanted to cancel the stay. Definitely not worth the ratings and money. You are not looking at what you get in this listing. Checked-in and cancelled the stay in first 1 hour.
