We've just returned from a wonderful stay at Riverside Cottage. The house is perfect, with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and a well-stocked kitchen with everything you could need. There's lots of information about local attractions and walks and the host is very responsive.

Riverside Cottage is a beautiful house situated in a lovely setting. The household amenities were excellent and Port St Mary, only a mile away, provided all the food and drink we used in the house. We ate out several times and we can strongly recommend The Boatyard restraunt in Peel and the Sunday roast at the Shore Hotel in Port St Mary. The house's location means that travel to Port Erin, Castletown and to view the Calf of Man is very easy. We found travel to further afield places such as Peel, and Laxey was straightforward. The coast of the Isle of Man is breathtakeningly beautiful and three places stood out. The first was the Calf of Man with sea birds and seals. The second was Niarbyl with a beautiful rocky cove and the third was Laxey beach with nice sand and rock pools. Our first visit to the Isle of Man has convinced us that we must make a second.

What a wonderful place to stay with a group of friends: Everything you need was at hand and a wonderful garden to sit in. The house is wonderfully furnished and equipped. Heating works well and 2 bathrooms make it more amenable for a group of six. Provisions were provided on our arrival and we could all enjoy a good cup of tea. The lane access is rather narrow but parking no problem and you are close to the nearest shop. Having said this there is a wonderful serenity sitting in the garden or rising in the early morning to look at the sea. Definitely recommend for those who wish to "get away from it all".

We had a lovely family time at Riverside Cottage. The cottage gave us ample space and comfort, as well as a very attractive home from home. Our son’s dog and young daughter much enjoyed the pretty garden. The surrounding area is delightful and peaceful. We found a lot to do and explore nearby - walks, visiting Port St Mary and Port Erin, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings and cafe by the Calf of Man sound.

The location is perfect . The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The landscape is gorgeous. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We hope that we can come back again. We definitely would book Riverside Cottage again. Our dog loved it too.
