Peter was an excellent host and great conversationalist! The surrounding area and scenery was quiet and beautiful. Peter made my husband and I huevos rancheros inspired by his cooking experiences in Oaxaca; it was absolutely delicious! We are looking forward to returning again and to perhaps stay a little longer and do some more cooking!

This was our first Air B&B so take what I say, knowing that. We usually stay in licensed Bed and Breakfasts. We booked this place for the hot tub and sadly it was unavailable to us so we were disappointed. The room is one of two upstairs in the house with a shared bathroom. Bed is good- a bit firm for our liking but that's a personal preference. Nice pillows and duvet. The room made us feel like we were using their bedroom. It's full of their personal photos, books etc. It was warm in the room going to bed (no fan or a/c) and the blind is broken so the sun shone in on us st dawn. There isn't a private entrance, common area for guests or a tv in the room. We don't usually go to bed at 9 and without a tv, common area or use of the hot tub we were just sitting awkwardly in the room. For $150, 30 minutes from downtown Victoria, I think we were expecting a bit more. However, this could very well be our own bias as we are used to traditional bed and breakfasts. Breakfast was very good. Peter takes pride in his breakfast, you can tell. A homemade sorbet with seasonal fruit, followed by a quiche.

Our stay was amazing. Peter and his wife are wonderful people. This is exactly what we are looking for when traveling from Airbnb to Airbnb. The breakfast option is a must (unless you never eat breakfast) because Peter will surprise you with his creativity in gastronomy. To conclude, this is a beautiful property, situated in the middle of the forest - but so close to everything. 10/10
