Blue Moon Lake Lodge is located across the lake from busy Big Bear City in a small town known as Fawnskin. If you want to relax, enjoy the most amazing views, get away from traffic and enjoy “full sun” then Fawnskin is your perfect choice! This is a true lakefront house with over 180 degree views of the ski slopes to the dam. “Truly one of the best views on the entire lake”. Boat dock is available from May to late October (Newly built in 2016) but stored offsite for the winter. Yard too! **RENTAL INCLUDES BOTH HOMES...MAIN LAKE HOUSE & THE GUEST HOUSE** 2018 brings new owners but the same great managers (former owners :). The new owners bring yet ANOTHER amazing remodel.. just completed in June of 2018! The pictures say it all but to sum it up: All new landscaping with a slew of beautiful trees throughout property, a brand new filtered water system, brand new lower stamped concrete deck under main redwood deck (approx 800 SQ FT), a new top of the line oversized spa facing the lake (also new for June, 2018), new pathways, new outdoor furniture, brand new mattresses throughout, new bedding, new pillows and 6 large 4K flatscreen TV's (75" in Living room, 65" in game room and 60's in the master, lower bedroom and casita living area). If that's not enough, remodeled GUEST HOUSE bathroom, new ping pong table, new lighting throughout game room, new kitchenware, new outdoor cloth umbrellas, new outdoor seating and cushions, all the premium channels, with over 180 movies on apple tv...even more on Netflix as well. Here's the update after the last remodel: An extensive 4 month remodel of both homes completed in 2016 and a refresh remodel in October of 2017. New peacock slate throughout, certain rooms with distressed hardwood, newer model outdoor spa, new kitchen with custom cabinets, huge copper sink, stainless appliances and beautiful granite with glass backsplash accents. We didn’t stop there, custom made bathroom vanities, copper bathroom sinks, walk in slate showers, custom antler light, all new lighting throughout, custom art / decorations, new toilets…you name it! We're constantly updating and keeping it fresh so you're sure to be pleased :) Both the main house and the guest cabin are fully equipped with everything you would expect in your own home. Keurig coffee machines, blender, toasters, microwaves and even a waffle iron in the main house. More dishes then you will ever need and all the pots, pans or silverware you could ask for. Crystal wine glasses, a huge main deck and and another on small cabin (re-stained / painted every year). Bear in mind that this is our personal home as well so you’ll find most of the condiments and perhaps some other groceries that you may help yourself too (no clothing so closet and drawers are free for you to use). We also have a large capacity washer and dryer with soap incase you want to throw a load in. The guest house is fully functional as a standalone unit with partial lake view, 2 small fridges, wall heater, full kitchen and shower as well as two flatscreen TV’s and internet. We love this back house…typically where I stay as its so cozy and truly cabin feeling :) And YES, both homes are included in your rental. Don't be mislead by other homes, pictures are brand new as of June, 2018!! We update the pictures often and ALWAYS improving. Beyond the remodel in early 2016, we built a custom new boat dock in 2016, we added a console video game system to the gameroom, we added brand new outdoor lounges at the end of 2016 with a hammock bed and best news yet....we wrapped up a complete remodel of the exterior in Nov 2016 which includes new cement siding, a beautiful rock 4' base on both homes AND all new windows (16 total!!). Place is sure to leave you breathless!! So gorgeous :) Entertainment: Besides all the fun things to do in Big Bear (just across the lake on Stanfield Cutoff and only 10 minutes away with one traffic light), our home has plenty of things to keep you smiling… The lower game room is equipped with a full slate pool table, foosball, an arcade game setup with tons of classic video games, an additional fridge in the custom made bar, board games and tons of options to watch on one of the 6 flatscreen 4K TV’s throughout the two homes (75” in living room w Sound Bar). Fast wireless Internet, Direct TV with 175 channels, Netflix on all TV’s and you have access to the owners I-Tunes account where you can watch one of their 180+ purchased movies or rent your own (you will be billed post visit if you buy or rent movies other then what's supplied for free so please be mindful). We also have paid for "TV Shows" in the iTunes account so check those out as well. Included in your stay is firewood (under the deck) to enjoy in our custom rock fireplace. Just turn the gas on, throw a log or two in and you're set! You will have a bowl/rack full of Keurig cups (for long stays, bring more please), Sparkletts 5 gallon coolers/heaters (in both homes) so you have all the water you need or make tea on the fly. (No need to bring up bottled water). Bathrooms are stocked with TP, shampoo, conditioner, soap and plenty of nice towels. Most of the rentals in Big Bear are managed by large companies that use thin towels, uncomfortable bedding and questionable pillows so they can switch them out quickly for the next rental, not ours… Only high thread count sheets, new beautiful bedding and all the trimmings ☺ We take pride in our home and as such we make sure the cleaning staff is well compensated. As such, you can expect a beautiful clean home to relax with your friends and family in! 3 night minimum Thanksgiving, Christmas, NewYears, July 4th and Labor Day. Speaking of July...amazing views of the fireworks!! Update: New dock is in the lake...water level is low but new dock is up and running. It has a large slip to hold up to a 24' boat or you can end tie a pontoon boat. Built it with a 30' x 8' outer platform so you can run and jump in the lake. Opted for a Trex deck so no need to worry about splinters. Accommodation Breakdown: Downstairs bedroom 1: 2 Queen beds and a foldout mini sofa: 4 - 4.5 people Downstairs bedroom 2: 2 sets of double bunk beds: 4 people Upstairs master bedroom: 2 people (CA King Mattress) Guest House: 2 people (CA King Mattress) and very comfy couch to sleep on (quite long) Game Room fold out sofa bed with extra mattress located under bunks: 2 people *If we’re a little short on beds with the above, there are 2 newer air mattresses in the master closet and guest cabin, a very comfortable couch in the guest house and of course the living room couch and love seat where my son typically sleeps. **Keep getting questions on how far to the slopes. May be faster then you think as there are no traffic lights on this side and all you have to do is cut over on stanfield cutoff and take a right. Maybe 10-15 minutes and beauty is…no traffic backing up at this direction whereas you could wait for 45-60 minutes if coming from Big Bear to the slopes. **Added $50 pet fee that goes direct to cleaning crew as they have had to clear all hair, extra cleaning and wash comforters more often. If you bring a pet, you must pay the additional surcharge. Sorry!
