Glitchy disappointment for the price. While the location was excellent (close to Kelly Beach and Bonnet Shores Beach Club), the cons vastly outweighed the pros - especially considering the premium price we paid. CONS: The photos of the first level and outdoor areas are deceptive. There is a windowless room that is totally unfinished and still smells of paint and construction materials. There is a new couch that while comfortable takes up an enormous amount of space. The house is next to a swamp filled with bugs at all hours of the day, making it impossible to enjoy the outdoors. There are dead bugs on every single window and screen, it’s gross. There was no toaster. The dishwasher is literally falling out of its slot, making it difficult to fill. The living room is not set up for a large group due to an odd step that breaks up the space. NO A/C in 3 of 5 bedrooms. Skylights wake everyone up at 5am when the sun rises. Weird opening in the upstairs bedroom lets in light and noise. AVOID

This house is advertised as having air conditioning. Our bedroom on the first floor never cooled below 75 depsite us having 3 fans (including one that we drove home 45 min for because our host stopped responding to texts- his preferred communication method- and later told us his phone died). None of the bedrooms had window treaments making it tough to sleep in. It was not clear from the photos that one of the upstairs bedrooms was lofted, making hanging on the main floor at night impossible if people in that room were trying to sleep. The outdoor area had insane bugs- to be expected near water, but also excessive. And the walk to the beach was at least 25 min if not more, unless you take a very busy road which is not safe with strollers. Overall, not suitable for families with children. Many photos did not match current state of house, particularly the first floor.

This location was advertised as a “tastefully renovated” property and carried a premium price. This is a work in progress w/ unfinished walls/wet paint, broken bedroom/closet doors, stain/burn marked carpets, bedroom w/out AC, shower with separating tiles/fixtures, and most concerning a 3rd floor balcony w/out a lock. Due to the smell of paint and active renovations, our group was unable to use the 1st level- we had to purchase a blowup mattress and consolidate into other rooms, none of which was communicated prior to arrival. Overall, it wasn’t well cleaned, which we did on our own on arrival. While Ryan and Greg (hosts, not owners) were helpful sharing our concerns, the owners didn’t share the same sentiment and offered no remedies. However, Greg/Ryan extended a small credit. Property isn’t suited for families with young children in its current state. Luckily, where the house lacked, the neighborhood and its residents were lovely, allowing us to make the most of the situation.

Great home for big families. We all had plenty of room! The kitchen is great and has almost every appliance you could need. The outdoor shower wasn’t connected when we were there either. The private Kelly beach is just beautiful but no parking so it’s a little tough with little ones. The walk is too far so we had to drop off and 1 person walk to drop the car. Overall we had a wonderful week at this home and would certainly stay again!
