Magpie Cottage lived up to its name. Lovely old bungalow style cottage on a huge safe fenced property with a nice clean maintained yard and garden. Cottage had everything we needed and while it’s an older cottage decorated with older furniture, everything was clean, working and went perfect with the house and surroundings, including the magpie visits with loads of other feathered friends visiting to snack from the bird feeder daily.. Very peaceful spot with only a 2 mins drive to shops and the water’s edge or 10-15min easy walk. We had been welcomed with home made chocolate cookies, jam and lovely fresh coffee beans together with teas & sugar. Family of 7 had a great time with seperate living spaces combined with several outdoor seating areas..

Our stay in Paynesville was fantastic. There were many things to do in the area. The cottage was clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing place, location and the host. Very friendly and informative. Must visit
