We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow cottage. It’s the perfect location for spending the day at Longleat Safari park. Very spacious accommodation and family friendly, with a lovely outdoor area. Very quiet, and peaceful. In terms of places to eat, or wanting to buy groceries, it is limited, but that wasn’t a problem as we brought everything with us. Comfortable bed and lovely bathrooms etc. We will definitely be back at some stage and will look forward to exploring the area more. Thank you Frances!

Wonderful spot in a remote and quiet location which is ideal for longleat. Easy access to mere village which has a coop and pharmcy (5min drive to access the coop which has a cook counter (fab freshly cooked frozen meals which can be cooked from frozen so ideal when you are away from home) and ot is a 5min drive from a fuel station with a Starbucks. The property is perfect for kids, it’s safe and very comfortable. Many thanks to our host Frances who ensured a warm welcome with bread,butter, milk tea coffee and some lovely chocolates. Safe to say this served as our home away from home X

We stayed at Swallow Cottage for two nights and it was so peaceful. We felt right at home straight away and really appreciated the host’s little touches to the space. We were looking for somewhere out of the way, rural and comfortable; this is exactly what we got. Thanks for a lovely stay!
