We stayed here for proximity to Big Bend National Park but the town of Marathon is charming. There is obviously alot of love and care that goes into the Munroe Payne duplex. The bed is comfortable (fairly supportive/firm) and the linens felt lovely and of high quality. The kitchen is well equipped but there's not alot of bench space for preparing meals. The wifi was abit inconsistent and worked most reliably in the lounge area. The washer dryer was super handy after a dusty couple of days in the park and the shower was great. Overall, highly recommend.

Monroe Payne House is a charming cozy comfortable house. Lovely inside with a beautiful yard and patio. Very comfortable, walkable to restaurants and shops. We loved being there!

We rented both duplexes. My husband said it was the best Airbnb that we have ever stayed in and I agree. We will definitely be going to to this beautiful Airbnb.

Spent our 35th anniversary here so that we could have a vow renewal at Big Bend. Marathon is one of our favorite places to stay. The house was homey and the back yard was so nice and relaxing. We will be back for more adventures.
