The morning of our departure, a storm was sweeping the country and Wendy emailed us with the disappointing news that our stay would have to be cancelled because of rising river levels in York. Wendy was super easy to contact and helped us work through our options, and she made recommendations for other places for us to look to stay. Sadly, it wasn't possible to work something out this time, but we look forward to re-booking in better weather!

There are no words to describe how perfect Tilly is. We spent 5 days over Christmas here and the little touches made us feel so welcome. The boat is luxurious and for 6 people very comfortable. So spoilt with the proximity to York and it’s beauty. Really a perfect stay, couldn’t ask for more.

This was a fun and unique way to visit York. It was quiet and very peaceful. It was fun watching the teams of row boats along the river in the morning.

We celebrated our friends 40th! A group of women aboard Tilly and we enjoyed every minute. It was lovely and warm and much more spacious than we imagined. The deco is lovely and everything on board that we needed for an enjoyable, lovely stay! We would definatley recommend to friends and will 100% be returning. Such a quirky stay away and it beats staying in the usual, same, same hotels! Who would have thougt you could feel so, cosy and home to home on a barge boat in winter. Xx

Excellent, could not have asked for more. Wendy was responsive not only when we were there but before the holiday. Tilly was clean and comfortable. Only thing was, we were there the last weekend in November, it’s was very cold, which if you went to the loo in the night the corridor was freezing as no radiator in there. Plan to return in warmer weather to use the sun deck.
