Cynthia's place was great for the two of us! The location was about a 10 minute walk from the water and across the street from a grocery store and Starbucks. We had a great stay. She was nice enough to allow us to have early check in and ensure that the place was ready upon our flight landing. The bathroom could use a little facelift but besides that no issues!

The best host ever!. Super friendly, and helpful. I happened to be there during a hurricane, and she was the most thoughtful and kind with us. Besides, the place is perfectly located and excellent!.

Its an ok stay. Basic necesities are in place. Be wary when booking this air bnb. The photo is the back of the building, not the front. Parking is on the street and is only allowed for 1 hour at a time and then after 6. The pathway to the back is not maintained, is tight and slippery when raining (which Halifax does a lot.) When we got there it doesnt look like the bathroom toilet and trash was cleaned before as it still had existing trash and tub was dirty and had bugs in there too. Kitchen needs to be updated as well, one drawer/cabinet was already broken when we got there. Sofa needs to be linked together to keep it from moving away from each other. No airconditioning- just a bunch of fans and a heater for winter. It is good for people who need the supermarket as it is just across. Its walking distance to the boardwalk and downtown.

Cynthia was a great host. Very responsive, usually within minutes. She messaged us before and once we had arrived to see if we needed anything. The apartment was perfect for our stay: close to the university and close to the Halifax waterfront. Great central location. Cozy interior. Comfortable beds. Cute backyard deck. Street parking in front. Easy. Cynthia’s place was the perfect place to stay as we moved our daughter into university residence. I recommend Cynthia’s place.

Cynthia went out of her way to make our stay convenient. I am a PhD student who came to Halifax for an academic conference on a very tight budget and split the place with classmates. Cynthia allowed me to have a poster shipped to her personal address then hand delivered it to me at the Airbnb during the conference - saving me tons of money and time. She was so responsive to every single one of my many messages about the booking both before and during my stay and even wished me luck on my presentation :) Door has a code so we didn’t need to worry about key logistics. Check out process was also very straightforward - no lengthy checklists to do before we left. Place itself was old and there were some minor cleaning things that could have been better but it was still overall nice and clean. But for the price - really not complaining. Location was amazing and walkable and the host was so warm. Would absolutely stay again.
