Tory was so kind and welcoming. The property was remote, serene and capturing. You could spend hours soaking in the sun cooling off in the splash pool. The accommodations were great and the stars were BRIGHT! Thank you so much for sharing your place with us!

Two words: unique, peaceful Green Rocks is seven glamping tents spread out enough to have privacy and feel like you have a magical space of your own. You can hear the occasional loud semi-truck from the far-off highway but otherwise it's only the birds, the wind, and the river that call to you. The property is unique in the sense that the Pavilion is the only place that you can cook. Food and cooking in or around the tents is not allowed for good reason. No food means no critters crawling on you in the middle of the night. In the tents is a small camp stove and some water to heat for coffee or tea. Otherwise, just a little meal planning is needed. You can keep food in the refrigerator at the Pavilion, or in your car. Speaking of cars - you park a bit away from the tent, maybe 100-200 feet (depending on your site), so carefully decide what is important to have with you inside (clothes, toiletries, coffee for the morning...). The property has a few places to hang out: the Pavilion (with a couch, large table, hammock, etc.), the wading pool (a two foot deep swimming pool, great for cooling off in the afternoon), a trail to the Ancestor Tree Garden, an observation deck overlooking the Crooked River, and the Labyinth. In the summer the tents get quite warm during the daytime so don't plan to be comfortable if you hang out while sun is high in the sky. I brought my two teen boys for two nights. We explored the area (Smith Rock and Cove Palisades) and returned each day to cook dinner at the Pavilion's full kitchen. Tory has all the basics, just in case you forgot something. Tory is the most amazing host with warm energy and is very responsive to messages. If you are looking for something a little different, with peaceful meditation retreat vibe (because that's what it is in the Spring and Fall), then give it try.
