Eagle Lodge was such a nice spot for a Custer SP stop. The room was large, & the bed was super comfortable. The host was very friendly & responsive, even providing me firmer pillows than the ones included in room when I asked at almost 9 pm. If you are a light sleeper you might want to book one of the other rooms in the lodge as this one is literally right at the front door & I imagine could be loud when the season is busy. The only part I was not thrilled about was the inability to control the AC in this room. I do think the other rooms in the lodge have that option though. There are so many nice touches in the room to make you feel comfortable…a towel warmer, a toilet from the future, a Keurig, and bath pillows. You cannot beat the price for what you get and the location is amazing. 20 min from Jewel Cave in one way, and 10 min from Custer the other. Be warned, the house will smell like delicious brisket & it will be hard to concentrate on anything else if you come home hungry!

Had a great stay! Room was tidy, bed was comfortable and Deb and Taylor were friendly and responsive to messaging! Will be back if we are in the area!

We were just escaping to celebrate our anniversary and everything was great. We were even treated to amazing food in celebration of our day which wasn’t expected at all! Great host and lovely experience. If I were forced to change one thing I would simply add a blackout curtain over the soaking tub. Otherwise PERFECT!
