This is the second time I stay at Emrah’s place and I was as happy as the first time. The space is perfect for me, I love the neighborhood and how easy and close it is to use public transportation. Derya hanım is an added jewel. Thanks for another great stay!

I hate to write a good review because it will make it that much harder to get a reservation when I come back! But I'll say that the rooms are fine; perhaps better for one in terms of space than for two, but if you are out and about they are fine for two. The staff, Derya hanım, is a real treasure—kind, helpful, attentive, hard-working. Above all the location: the dolmuş to Beşiktaş right across the street. Osman Bey metro stop 7 minute walk. Taksim Square about 15 minutes walk. Niştantaşı and its spiffy shopping and cute (or cutsie) little coffee shops and bistros, just 10-15 minutes down the hill. The particular area where the air bnb is located has convenient food shops and restaurants, the latter not so great—they cater to slightly down-market tourists. I found it better to have a bite before I went home and after I went out. Even mediocre Turkish food is pretty good, so when I had to eat on the main street--Halaskargazi/Cumhürriyet Cad.—it was still ok. This is essentially a residential hotel, and it works very well indeed. I was really very pleased with it, and for researchers it's perfect.

Emrah’s place is at a really awesome location just a 7min walk to the metro. The room is stylish like a hotel with free laundry, value for money and a nice Housekeeping lady. Emrah was very hospitable, always helping us when we need his help with anything and was really friendly towards us. The apartment was very secure with PIN numbers and we agree that it’s one of the best AirBnbs we have ever stayed in Turkey. Thank you once again Emrah for your amazing place and great hosting. Hope to meet you again! :)

I've been to Istanbul often and this was my first Airbnb. I was very happy with my choice. The apartment is perfectly designed. I had space for my things, a desk to work in, a kitchen with the basics, a bathroom that wasn't tiny at all, a comfortable bed and a TV. I must underscore also cleanliness and location. Both were perfect too. Emrah is a responsive host that I'm sure would be very helpful to those who don't know this fascinating city well.
